In pursuit to achieve ISO certification, the Local Government Unit of General Santos City through its QMS Coordinating Center conducted a series of QMS Officer’s Conference on May 4 and 5, 2022 to Internal Quality Auditors, Document Control Officers, Quality Improvement Team, and the respective Department Quality Management Representative.In the conference, findings and recommendations on the recently concluded Pre-Assessment Audit were presented which assessed the readiness of the LGU to ISO Certification and its compliance and conformance to the set ISO standards. It also discussed the LGUโ€™s progress on the establishment of Quality Management System, concerns, as well as the timelines. The conference also emphasized the use of the iQMS Portal, an online portal which contains the QMS-related documents and a highlight feature of LGU-Gensanโ€™s QMS that is currently being enhanced. The iQMS Portal will serve as the primary tool to be used for third-party audit especially if it will be done remotely. At the end of the conference, QMS Officers expressed positive responses on the benefits and advantages of implementing the QMS which will result to having an efficient and effective delivery of services and ultimately satisfy the clientsโ€™ requirements and needs.
